The Children’s Choir of Chico will hold its annual dinner and auction fundraiser on Saturday, February 27th at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Chico.  Proceeds of the event will benefit Children’s Choir of Chico by providing scholarships, covering the costs of concerts, and purchasing music for the more than 75 singers who participate in the various ensembles.

This family-friendly event will be held in Browne Hall at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 2341 Floral Avenue from 5:00 – 8:30 pm. The evening will entail a complete tri-tip dinner with a vegetarian options, a live dessert auction, no-host bar, raffles and a silent auction.  Entertainment will include performances by the singers of Children’s Choir of Chico.

The non-profit Children’s Choir of Chico builds character and choral music education for interested singers in Pre-Kindergarten through adult women, including singers from Chico, Forest Ranch, Berry Creek, Orland, Oroville, Bangor, Paradise, Artois and Durham.  Through active rehearsals, participating singers learn about diverse cultures through the music of many lands, various styles, and a variety of musical styles. Each year, the choirs actively perform for various community events and organizations. Advanced singers in the choirs audition annually and are accepted into national honor choirs.
