You can literally help us sing!

In just over five years, the Children’s Choir of Chico has expanded from one choir to six! With six choirs serving children from kindergarten through high school, and a choir for women, our organization is very busy! With many local performances for seniors, service organizations and community events, our choirs also perform through out Northern California.

We are dedicated to serving every choir member who makes the commitment to study and perform. Tuition covers only 50% of the expenses of each choir member. In order to give access to members from all cultural, ethnic and economic backgrounds, we provide full or partial scholarships to about one out of four of our members. Fundraising by choir members and families, and charitable, tax-deductible contributions cover the other 50% of operating costs.

Our conductor and artistic director Susan Tevis has 35 years of experience teaching children through vocal training, developing music literacy and fostering artistic excellence.  The result is a sense of discipline, commitment, and self-esteem. The pure fun and joy of singing promotes a lifelong love of music.
