Children’s Choir of Chico’s five choirs (pre-kindergarten through adult women) will delight the audience with a concert of spirituals, folksongs, patriotic songs, Broadway tunes, and contemporary and classical art songs. Plan now to attend and enjoy the sounds of beautiful, poignant, exciting, and colorful choral music taking you back to your homeland. This afternoon concert will feature Bella Voce (adult women’s choir), Cantiamo and Bel Canto (CCOC’s two touring choirs), and the training choirs, Ready, Set, Sing! and Preparatory Choir. Special guests will include members of the Chico State Wind Ensemble and a surprise “Tuba Player Extraordinaire”! Buy your tickets now for this delightful family-oriented performance at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25 at First Baptist Church, 850 Palmetto Avenue. These singers are sure to warm your heart and remind you of home with songs by Bach, Caccini, and Gustav Holst, show tunes by George M. Cohan and Irving Berlin, a spiritual by Rollo Dilworth, and selections from the musical “Oliver”. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and children 10 years and under. Singers include residents of Chico, Durham, Paradise, Forest Ranch, Berry Creek, Orland, and Bangor. Advance tickets can be purchased at The Music Connection, Zucchini and Vine, or the Children’s Choir of Chico Office at 295 E. Washington Avenue.
