Spring Interviews for 2008-2009 CHOIR Season

Two choirs of the Children’s Choir of Chico are holding interviews for the 2008-09 choir season. Singers in grades 4-12 in Fall 2008 are encouraged to interview for Cantiamo and Bel Canto, the performing and touring choirs of the Children’s Choir of Chico. The choirs perform for various local organizations and events during their singing season August through May.

Members of Cantiamo participate in a 1-day concert tour each spring and Bel Canto is currently planning a longer concert tour for late spring 2009. Some options for this tour include destinations in the continental US, Hawaii, and Eastern Europe. Experience and training are not necessary to join the choirs.

Interviews are being held on May 27 & 28, and June 2 & 4 between 4:00-5:30pm, at First Christian Church, 295 E. Washington Avenue. For interview appointments or for information about individual choirs please call (530) 342-2775.

What makes us happy? Singing! Having people care enough about our choir to come and hear us! Having a willing supply of chauffeurs, chaperones, pizza organizers, cookie bakers and encouragers!
